Cyprien Blanchard is the 50 year old white male head of household, who rents his home at $45 a month. He is proprietor of a grocery and is not a veteran. He is married to 48 year old Eugenie Blanchard. When they first got married, Cyprien was 22 and Eugenie was 20 years old. Living at home are 2 sons: 17 year old Eugene Blanchard is single, and works as a Sta Fireman for as barge line; 7 year old Raymond Blanchard attends school. All family members were born in Louisiana, as were their parents.

Eugene E. Blanchard Sr., of Algiers, La., on Sunday, May 10, 1970 at 3:15 o'clock p.m., beloved husband of Thelma Fink, father of Mrs. Mary Ann Maliason, Eugene Jr., Roy, Charles and Byron Blanchard, son of the late Eugene Poimboeduf and Cyprine Blanchard, brother of Mrs. Lucille Landry, Lawrence, Henry, and Eddie Blanchard and the late Raymond Blanchard. Also survived by 10 grand children, age 57 years. A native of Labadeville, La., and a resident of Gretna and Algiers, La. of the past 40 years.
Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Avondale Shipyards Inc., Woolco (Westside), Zales Jewelry Co. and Gordon's Jewelers, are invited to attend the funeral.
Services from Mothe Funeral Home Inc., 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, La. on Tuesday, May 12, 1970 at 9 o'clock a.m. Requiem Low Mass at Holy Name of Mary Church.
Interment Westlawn Mausoleum cemetery. Parlor will be open Monday, May 11, 1970 from 6 p.m. until 12 midnight.
