Lucille Richardson Wed in Ceremony to Mr. Wilfred S. Cambre
HAMMOND - Rev. James Mattison performed the marriage ceremony of Miss Lucille Richardson and Mr. Wilfred S. Cambre Friday evening, June 30, in the Blood River Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith. the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Richardson of Springfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cambre of Metairie are parents of the bridegroom.
The bride, a graduate of Springfield High School, attends Southeastern Louisiana College, while Mr. Cambre, who was graduated from Metairie High, received his degree from SLC.
For the 7:30 o'clock ceremony appropriate music was played by Mrs. Louis Kemp, who also accompanied Mr. Richard Dick, soloist. Vows were exchanged beneath an archway of greenery and white flowers.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white gown of chiffon and lace. The fitted bodice of chiffon was topped with a lace jacket and the patio-length, bouffant skirt was of white chiffon. Lace mitts complemented the short sleeves. A pearl crown held her shoulder-length veil of illusion and she carried white carnations.
Serving as maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Barbara Richardson. She chose an azure blue chiffon over silk frock designed with a scooped neckline and full, street-length skirt. In her hair was a bandeau of matching blue silk and her bouquet was of pink carnations.
Mr. John Cambre was the best man, while ushering before the ceremony were Messrs. Bruce Richardson and Michael Mattison.
Mrs. Richardson selected for her daughter's wedding and ensuing reception a brown polished cotton ensemble and white carnation corsage. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Cambre, was attired in blue and she, too, had a white carnation corsage.
For the reception arrangements of white flowers draped in net were noted about the area. The serving table was covered with a white cloth and the bride's table was centered with a three-tiered cake.
Mrs. James Mattison cut the cake, while serving punch were Mrs. Amy Forrest and Mars. Mary Richardson. Tea girls were Misses Sue and Marjorie Richardson.
For traveling the newly married Mrs. Cambre selected a blue sheath and blending accessories. The couple will make their home at 610 North Pine St., Hammond.
Out-of-town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Louis Klump, Peoria, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gloekler, Texas, and Mrs. Louis Strebeck and family, Mississippi.
