Burial in Carter Cemetery, Springfield. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Edith B. Richardson, Springfield; three sons, Melvin and Edward E. Richardson, both of Springfield, and Cecil S. Richardson, Hammond; five daughters, Mrs. Lorrin Gainey, Springfield, Mrs. James Robinson, Ponchatoula, Mrs. Neville Richardson, New Orleans, Mrs. Charles Lemak and Mrs. Maurice Robinson, Sr., both of Hammond; two sisters, Mrs. Columbus Mack, Livingston, and Mrs. John Shandor, Springfield; a brother, Lemuel Richardson, Ponchatoula; 28 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
