Died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 6, 1978, at Seventh Ward General Hospital, Hammond. He was 65, a native and resident of Springfield. Visiting at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Blood River Church of God, Springfield. Religious services at the church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. C.F. Pryor. Burial in Carter Cemetery, Springfield.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Bazile Richardson, Springfield; one son, James Douglas Richardson, Springfield; five daughters, Mrs. Billie (Irene) Kennedy, Eden Valley, Minn., Mrs. Ophelia Jenkins, Metairie, Mrs. Edward (Betty) Bauerle, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Robert (Beatrice) Simon, Springfield, and Mrs. Allen (Lorraine) Lard, Houma; two brothers, Cecil Richardson, Hammond, and Edward Richardson, Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Maurice Robinson Sr., Hammond, Mrs. James Robinson, Ponchatoula, Mrs. Neville Richardson, New Orleans, and Mrs. Charles Lemack, Hammond; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
