Died at 1 p.m. Monday at Lallie Kemp Hospital, Independence. She was 57, a native and resident of Springfield. Body at Thomas Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Richard Smith. Burial in Carter Cemetery, Springfield. Survived by her mother, Mrs. Samuel Richardson, Springfield; two daughters, Mrs. Juanita June G. Uvila, Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Phyllis G. Raymond, New Orleans; four sons, Lorrin L. Gainey Jr., and Samuel J. Gainey, both of Houston, Tex., Sgt. Edgar J. Gainey, Ft. Knox, Ky., and Richard D. Gainey, Springfield; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lemak and Mrs. Georgia Robinson, both of Hammond, Mrs. Orine Robinson, Ponchatoula, and Neville Richardson, New Orleans; three brothers, Melvin Richardson and Edward Richardson, both of Springfield, and Cecil Richardson, Hammond; 18 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Lorrin L. Gainey Sr. She was a member of Blood River Church of God of the Abrahamic Faith.
