Edward E. Richardson, 83-years-old of Springfield, died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on April 16, 1924 in Springfield, La., and was a retired farmer, and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Jo Belinda Ridgel and Harry Ridgel, Tickfaw, and Robbin Lynn Easley and Larry Easley, Baton Rouge; five grandchildren, Chris, Adrienne and Louis Ridgel, Tickfaw, and Parker Elizabeth Serpas, Ponchatoula; one sister, Georgie Robinson, Hammond; and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Richardson, parents, Samuel and Edith Richardson of Sprinfield; sisters, Lula Mae Gainey, Elizabeth Lemak, Orine Robinson and Neville Honeycutt; brothers, Melvin and Cecil Richardson.
Friends will be received Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Geisler Funeral Home Chapel in Ponchatoula with services starting at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery in Springfield.
