RICHARDSON SR., CECIL SAMUEL
Died at 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 25, 1982 at Veterans Administration Hospital, New Orleans. He was 62, a native of Springfield and resident of Hammond. He was a retired fireman for Hammond Fire Department and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Visiting at Blood River Church of God, Springfield, from 1 p.m. to time of religious services at 3 p.m. Sunday, conducted by Rev. Billy Kennedy. Burial in Carter Cemetery, Springfield.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillian Robinson Richardson, Hammond; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Elaine) Tanner, Ponchatoula; three sons, Cecil S. Richardson Jr., Hammond, Tommy and Glenn Richardson, both of Ponchatoula; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth LeMack and Mrs. Georgia Robertson, both of Hammond, Mrs. Orine Robertson, Oonchatoula, and Mrs. Nevelle Honeycutt, New Orleans; a brother, Edward Richardson, Springfield; eight grandchildren; and a step-grandson. Preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lula Mae Gainey; a brother, Melvin Richardson; and his parents, Sam and Edith Richardson. He was a member of the Springfield American Legion.
