RENSSELAER \emdash Selma Ford, 70, died Thursday in Jasper County Hospital after an illness of seven
months.
Born Aug. 2, 1916, in Brook, she was educated in Newton and Tippecanoe counties. She came to
Rensselaer in 1934 and lived at 130 S. Milton St.
Her marriage was Aug. 20, 1936, to Daryl M. Ford. He survives.
Mrs. Ford had been a dental assistant for five years; was a mail order clerk at Sears, Roebuck and
Co. several years; and for eight years, she was secretary for Jasper County Highway Garage.
She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Free Church of Rensselaer and Order of Eastern Star,
Rensselaer Chapter.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Michael E. Ford of San Jose, Calif., and Richard L. Ford of
Francesville; two sisters, Constance Brand of Lafayette and Mrs. Dwight (Virginia) Lesley of Buck
Creek; and a brother, Gerald McCord of Peru.
