Roy J. Bell Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Delhomme Funeral Home for Roy J. Bell Sr., 57, who died at his residence, 804 Souvenir Gate, today at 1 a.m. after an extended illness. Rev. Corval Lile, pastor of the First Christian Church will conduct the services.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Bell, a native of Pittsburg, Penn., had been a resident of Lafayeltte for many years. He was associated with the Sentry Insurance Company. He was a member and past master of Hope Lodge No.
145 F & A.M., the Evangeline Shrine Club and Jerusalem Temple of New Orleans.
Survivors include his widow, Mercedes Briant Bell of Lafayette; one daughter, Barbara G. Bell of Lafayette; two sons, Roy J. Bell Jr. of Tijuana, Venezeula, and Briant R. Bell of New Orleans: his father, John C. Bell of Long Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
The family requests that visiting hours he observed from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. tomorrow and starting again Wednesday at 7 a.m. The family also requests that donations be made to the Crippled Children's Fund.
