Miss Emma A. Staas and Mr. James L. Piontkowski are being married this afternoon, at a two
o'clock ceremony, in the rectory of Sacred Heart R. C. church, this city, with the Rev. J. M. Moore
officiating.
The bride, who is being given in marriage by her father, is wearing a gown combining a white lace
bodice and moire skirt which flares into a slight train and a fingertip veil of tulle arranged with a Juliet
cap of lace. She is carrying white lilacs.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard D. Staas, of 3323 Fremont street, and Mr. Piontkowski is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Piontkowski, of 1222 Van Hook street.
Mrs. Lucy Pepernik, of Utica, N. Y., sister of the bridegroom, as matron of honor and the bride's only attendant, is wearing a yellow gown made like that of the bride and a matching Juliet cap and face veil. Her bouquet is of purple lilacs.
Mr. John H. Moses, of this city, is serving as best man.
The bride's mother is appearing in a beige chiffon dress, with London tan accessories and an orchid corsage and the mother of the bridegroom is wearing dusty pink lace with cocoa brown accessories and a corsage of gardenias.
Following a reception, Mr. Piontkowski and his bride are leaving for a wedding trip to New York. They will reside at the VanHook street address on their return and will be at home after June 1.
Mr. Piontkowski attended Mississippi State College.
