TO HOLD LAST RITES FOR ENGINEER TODAY
John L. Prendergast Funeral Services Will Occur from Late Residence
Funeral services for the late John L. Prendergast, chief engineer of the Stuyvesant docks elevators, who died early Saturday morning, will take place from his late residence, 1409 Baronne street, Sunday at 3:30 p. m.
Mr. Prendergast for the last sixty years has been connected with the Illinois Central railroad as engineer and roundhouse foreman both for that railroad and the L. N. O. & T., now the Yazoo and Mississippi Valley railroad. For seventeen years he has been In charge of the machinery department of the elevators.
The deceased was a member of Woodmen or the World, Tulane Camp 48, and an honorary member of the
Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Division 426.
He is survived by two sons, J. J. Prendergast, engineer for Y. & M. V. railroad, and R. C. Prendergast, engineer for the Marine Banks, and two daughters, Mrs. R. B. Perklns, and Miss Louise Prendergast.
