PRENDERGAST -- On Sunday evening, December 26, 1943, at 10:45 o'clock, JOHN JOSEPH "JINKS" PRENDERGAST, SR., of 419 South Alexander street, beloved husband of the late Mary Butland, father of Mrs. A. R. French, Jr., Mrs. Thomas Casey of Waterloo, La., Margaret, Anna, Catherine, John J., Jr., Harry and the late George E. Prendergast, brother of Richard and Miss Louise Prendergast and Mrs. Mary J. Perkins, also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral took place from the P. J. McMahon & Sons funeral home, 4800 Canal street, near cemeteries, at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, December 28, 1943, followed by services at St. Anthony church, with interment in St. Patrick cemetery No. 3.
