A baby boy arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Piontkowski, 1178 Morton street. Mrs. Piontkowski was Miss Cora Kraczyk, daughter of a well known businessman.

Kazimierz Piontkawski (sp) is the 41 year old white male head of household, who owns his house, valued at $5,000, and a radio set. Born in Pennsylvania, his parents in Poland, he works as a salesman for a milk dairy, and is not a veteran. He married his wife, Cora, when he was 32 and she was 21. Cora is 33 years old and was born in New Jersey, her parents in Poland. They have one son, 8 year old Joseph Jr, born in New Jersey. Living with the family are two Polish boarders, Steven Smoleski and Frank Slodzinski.

Technical Corps Now Being Formed
Two Camden men have applied for places in the recently organized Civilian Technical Corps for specialized non-combatant service in England.
They are William M. Zucker, 1544 Wildwood avenue, and Joseph Piontkowski, 1317 Thurman street.
Their applications were announced by the corps' headquarters at 15 Broad street, New York City.
At Zucker's home his sister said he is a World War veteran, 44 years old, and now is working as a
pharmacist in Reading, Pa.
Piontkowski, a youth, is an amateur radio operator.
According to officials of the Civilian Technical Corps, the first group of men to be accepted for membership will leave for Canada soon and, after a short. period of training, embark for England. Thereafter, other groups will leave at regular intervals.
The corps, formation of' which was announced less than a month ago, was started for the purpose of
making it possible for citizens of the United States to serve in England without losing their citizenship, or being used in actual combatant service.
