Durnin, Lucille Pevey
A resident of Watson, she died at 10:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She was 89 and a native of Columbia, Miss. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, and at the funeral home chapel from 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, until religious service at noon, conducted by Brother Mark Crosby. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Park, Denham Springs. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ward Ann and Khalid Salem, Destin, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Laurie Durnin, Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Joe Durnin, Jason Durnin, Michael C. Freeman Jr., Tracie Eisworth, Jeannie Serpas, John Durnin III and Fredrick Evans Durnin; great-grandchildren, John Eisworth, Kelly Eisworth, Nikki Easterly, Jenny LeJeune, Joshua Durnin, Emma Durnin, Justin Durnin and Heather R. Durnin; and sisters, Frances P. Sharp and Billy Jean Lewis, both of Baton Rouge, and Nettie Russell, Amite. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred I. and Nettie Moye Pevey; son, Joe A. Durnin; sister, Mary Jenkins; brothers, Fred Pevey, Joseph Pevey and Ward Cooper Pevey; infant brother and sister, Ambrose and Olive Pevey; and grandchildren, Laura Frances Durnin and Johnna Durnin. Pallbearers will be Lawrence Hughes Jr., John Durnin III, Evans Durnin, Joe Durnin, Jason Durnin, Khalid Salem and Michael Freeman. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and was a member of Live Oak United Methodist Church in Watson
