PERSHALL LAST RITES PLANNED
Retired S&WB Member Expires at 78
Frank X. Perschall, retired member of the Sewerage & Water Board, died Sunday at 6 a.m. in Touro Infirmary after a brief illness. He was 78.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from Jacob Schoen & Son Inc., at 3827 Canal, with a Requiem Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery No. 1.
Mr. Perschall was a native of New Orleans and retired as president of Perry & Buckley Co. in 1956 after working for the firm for about 50 years. He began his career with the company as a messanger boy.
He was appointed to the Sewerage & Water Board in 1920 and served continuously until his retirement in 1963.
Mr. Perschall was educated in parochial schools here. He was an officer and member of numerous civic and fraternal groups.
Survivors include four sons, Clem Perschall, Frank G. Perschall, Louis Perschall and Leslie Perschall, and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Graf Jr. and Mrs. George Marquez.
