The rectory of the St. Paul Catholic Church at New Alsace, was the scene of a wedding of charming simplicity Friday evening, July 16, when Miss Ruth Lingg, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lingg, Sr., of New Alsace, exchanged nuptial vows with Mr. Harry Guy Cornelius, only son of Mr. and Mrs.
Guy Cornelius of Lawrenceburg. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Weinzapfel, the pastor, read the double ring ceremony at 6:30 o'clock in the presence only of the immediate families.
The bride, a petite blonde, was attired in a smartly tailored aqua-blue Palm Beach suit. Completing her costume, were navy blue accessories including a hat of navy straw trimmed with blue and white polka dot ribbons, and white gloves. White brides roses comprised her shoulder corsage and her only jewelry was a gold choker, a gift of the bride-groom.
Mrs. George Hornbach of Yorkviile, sister of the bride, and her only attendant, chose a suit exactly like that of the bride's, fashioned in a brilliant shade of yellow. Her accessories were black including a straw cloche, and her corsage was of white roses.
Mr. William S. Gehring of Lawrenceburg, was best man. Both the bridegroom and his attendant were attired in brown business suits with boutonnieres of white carnations.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Lingg, selected a gray and white printed crepe dress with white accessories and Mrs. Cornelius, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black and pink printed crepe with brack accessories and
a hat trimmed with pink rosebuds. Both wore corsages of pink carnations.
The wedding reception for about 200 relatives and friends was held afterward in the Greendale Cabin, for which the large clubroom was decorated with yellow, orchid and green streamers for the festive occasion. Centering the bride's table placed in front of the stone fireplace at the east end of the room,
was a three-tiered wedding cake topped with bridal figurines, which was cut by the couple and served with refreshments. The many handsome gifts they received were opened afterward and displayed, during the affair.
Following a brief wedding trip thru Kentucky, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius are residing in an apartment on West High street.
The bride, a 1946 graduate of Guilford High school, has been employed in the office at Seagrams. Mr. Cornelius, who graduated from LCHS in 1944 and served in the Navy for two years during the war, is employed at Seagrams.

Mrs. Rocklin of Mariemont, O.; Miss Ann Thebo of Dayton; and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hessling, Mrs. Josephine Knue and daughter, Miss Alberta and Mr. and Mrs. R. Knue and daughter, Ann, of Sayier Park, O.
