Funeral services for Mrs. Jewell Yvonne Washer, age 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 6, 2011, in Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church of West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Fenn. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.
Mrs. Washer was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great grand-mother. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe. She was also a
member of the "Encouragers" Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Larche Washer; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Leaming and her husband, Richard; sons, Russell Washer and his wife,Jeanie, Ken Washer and his wife, Mona, Paul Washer and his wife, Jean and Roy Washer and his wife, Windi; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Fred Mack and his wife, Margie; and
nieces and nephews; and "special family" Amanda Robinson, Bobbie McFarland and Myrtis Young.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Donations may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 DeSiard Street, Monroe, LA 71203.
Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, Jtme 6, 2011, until service time in Feazel Chapel at First Baptist Church of West Monroe.
