Charles Fleming Noble was born in Quebec, Canada, 29 of January, 1836. He came to the USA as a young man, about 1854, and in 1860 or 1861, he married Mary Catherine Long at LaGrange, Lucas County, Iowa. This was a very small farming and mining community that was close to the Monroe County line.
(The Lucas County Marriages book gives their marriage date in 1861, however they are listed on the 1860 census.)
Charles and Mary had a family of five children, however two died at birth or as an infant; otherwise, there were two sons and a daughter.
Charles and Mary Noble celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mary died in 1922, predeceasing her husband.
