Martin Joseph Moynan Sr.,a retired refrigeration engineer for Dixie Brewery, died Saturday at his home. He was 86. Mr. Moynan was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for 18 years. He was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons Chapter 3443 and the Mary Magdalens and Kenner councils on aging. Survivors include his wife, Clare Guerin Moynan ; two sons, Martin Jr. and William Moynan ; four daughters, Theresa Burke, Rita Arnold, Clare Triche and Mildred Williams; and 18 grandchildren. A Mass will be said Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 West Metairie Ave., Metairie. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
