Robert Russell Miller, 72, died Monday in Yorktown Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Miller was a lifelong Yorktown resident and graduated from Yorktown High School in 1941. He retired from Borg-Warner Automotive in 1988 and also was a carpenter. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald D. Miller, Yorktown, David T. Miller, Muncie, and Randal D. and Susan Miller, Bloomington, Ill.; a brother, Thomas F. Miller, Elmhurst, Ill., a sister, Marjorie Armstrong, Northridge, Calif.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His wife, Patti Miller, and his parents, Thomas H. and Rebecca I. Hopping Miller, are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Gant-Richman Funeral Home, Yorktown, with burial in Elm Ridge
Cemetery.
Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday and after noon Friday at the funeral home.
