A quiet but very pretty wedding of the past week was that of Miss Florence Skelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph P. Skelly, to Dr. Andrew Kreller of New Orleans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kreller, Sr., which took place at 9 o'clock at a nuptial mass in the Holy Name of Mary church on March 19, with Rev. Father E. P. McGrath officiating.
The bride who was given in marriage by her father, was charming in a gown of embroidered French net. The veil of illusion was held to the head with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a nuptial prayer book topped with an orchid. Her sister, Miss Betty Skelly, was the maid of honor and her niece, Maura Ann D'Antoni, was the junior bridesmaid. Their gowns were of flesh lace and net made with the new apron effect. They wore mother of pearl straw hat
edged with lace straw and trimmed with natural flowers. They carried round bouquets of flesh colored stock.
The groom had as his best man his brother, Cadet Joseph Kreller.
Owing to the season of Lent, invitations were not sent out and there was no reception, except for the immediate family. Dr. and Mrs. Kreller left by auto for Miami, Fla.

Dr. Andrew J. Kreller, Jr., died peacefully at his home at Christwood in Covington, La. on the morning of February 3, 2002. Prior to moving to Christwood six years ago, he was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Dr. Kreller was born on September 25, 1914 to Andrew J. Kreller and Katherine Winters, both deceased and of New Orleans. Brother of the late Joseph L. Kreller. He was married to the late Florence Skelly and the late Patricia Flemming. During his marriage to Florence Skelly, four children were born: Dr. Andrew J. Kreller, III of Covington; Dr. J. Skelly Kreller of Mandeville, Helen K. Kreller of Houston, Texas and Kathleen K. Johnson (Mrs. Pittman Johnson, Jr.) of Metairie. He is survived by nine grandchildren: Gretchen K. Hiley, Jeffrey M. Kreller of Covington, Katie K. Tardiff and Timothy J. Kreller of Washington, D.C., Bryan C. Kreller of Metairie, Stephen S. Kreller of New Orleans, Jill K. Kreller of Mobile, Alabama, David C. Kreller of Mandeville and Allison K. Johnson of Metairie and one great-grandchild, Joseph Hiley of Covington. Dr. Keller was also the grandfather of the late Scott A. Kreller.
A Memorial service will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd., New Orleans, at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2002. The Burial was private. In lieu of flowers. The Family request that donations be made to The John Lohman Fund at Christwood Retirement Center, 100 Christwood Blvd., Covington, Louisiana 70433 or that Masses be said.
