Daughter of Augustus Molesworth and Mary Ann Smith; Mary Molesworth was born into their very large family of 14 children. She was wife of Joseph Dicks (married 25 June 1865, she was his second wife, marriage ended in divorce); Joseph and Mary had three children but one did not survive... an infant, Dora and Zedda Dicks.
Second, she married Henry C. Long (Monroe County IA in November, 1877). Mary and Henry Long had two children: Mack and Leota Long.

MRS. MARY C. LONG

Mrs. Mary C. Long, 86, died at her home in Russell on Tuesday, March 20, 1934. She had been in ill health for a number of years.

Most of her life had been spent in Marion and Lucas counties. Her husband, Henry Long, a veteran of the Civil War, preceded her in death.

She leaves* two daughters, Mrs. Leota Taylor and Mrs. Dora Etter, and one sister, Mrs. George McCormick.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Methodist Episcopal church, and burial took place in the Russell cemetery.

*Actually her daughter Zedda also survived her, and died in 1948. Clc
