Per 1940 US Census 5/9/1940 Magnolia St., Ponchatoula Town, Tangipahoa, Louisiana
Henry Mixon is the 33 year old white male head of household, who rents his home for $6 a month. He was born in Louisiana and lived in this same house in 1935, true for all family members. Educated through 6th grade, he is employed as a laborer in a lumber mill, working 42 hours the last week of May, and in 47 weeks of work earned $517 in 1939.
