Township Trustee
Thomas was elected Township Trustee on the Democratic Ticket in November of 1930. He served for two terms. He was completely in charge of the schools as well as being in charge of "Poor Relief." At the end of his second term his brother-in-law, Charles Simonson suceeded him as Township Trustee.
