Per Obituary Published by The Advocate from Jan. 7 to Jan. 8, 2021.
Theresa passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her home in Plaquemine, at the age of 88. She was born in Glendale, AZ, grew up in San Jose, CA and a current resident of Plaquemine.
Theresa was the head of housekeeping starting at Rhodes J. Spedale General Hospital and retired after she set up the housekeeping department at River West Medical Center.
Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine on Saturday, January 9th, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Grace Memorial Park.
Theresa is survived by children, Sandra Pitre Rivet and husband Gary, Lori Pitre Fresina and husband Mike, John Pitre and fiancée Karen Alphonso; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" J. Pitre; a daughter, Kathryn Pitre Long; parents, Ramon and Soila Yutze Mesa; three brothers, Ramon Mesa, Jr., Jimmy Mesa, and John Mesa; and sister, Cecilia Mesa Gutierrez. Pallbearers will be Corey Rivet, Brandon Pitre, Jacob Pitre, Justin Pitre, Randy Martin, Anthony LeBlanc, Anderson LeBlanc, Bryce Rivet and Shawn Caliouette.
