Pietro Mangano is a 50 year old male, who with his family, all born in Italy, left port at Palermo Italy and arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana in April 1866, intending to settle in the United States. Pietro is a laborer. His wife is Guiseppa Palmesana Mangano, age 45. Their children are 9 year old son Pietro Mangano, 8 year old daughter, Anna Mangano, and 3 year old son, Francesco Mangano. The family was billeted for the voyage in Storage.

They were both born in Italy, as were their parents. Joseph immigrated in 1866, Rosine in 1867. Rosine can't read or write. When they first got married, he was 20 and she was 16 years old. Living with them is their daughter and her husband: Juan Basilio, son-in-law, is 27 years old, was born in Cuba, as were his parents and immigrated in 1918, He works as a bookkeeper [company not legible]. His wife if Joseph's 26 year old daughter, Josie M. Basilo, born in Louisiana. Juan and Josie got married when he was 24 and she was 23.

53rd Anniversary Celebrant Stricken Fatally in Church
Joseph Manguno Dies at Rites Honoring Wedding Date
On the day of his 53rd wedding anniversary, Joseph Manguno, 73 years old, 2514 Sage street, died suddenly Sunday morning while attending a special ceremony at which he was being honored at the St. Charles Avenue Baptist church, 7100 St. Charles avenue.
Mr. Manguno had been a member of the St. Charles Avenue Baptist church longer than any other person in the congregation, and. with R. R. Sanford, who also was honored at the special rites. was a life deacon of the organization. The two were seated beside Dr. Thomas D. Brown, pastor, near the church pulpit, when Mr. Manguno suffered a heart attack.
He died shortly afterwards in an ante-room of the church, where he had been taken by friends who saw
him slump into his chair.
Stricken Suddenly

Mr. Manguno apparently was in good health Sunday morning, members of his family said. He dressed early, had breakfast with members of his family, and in company with one of his sons, Jacob Manguno and
two grandsons, went to church, where he performed his duties until he was asked to take his place on the platform, where he was stricken suddenly.
He was a native of Palermo, Italy, and came to New Orleans with his parents when he was a child.
In 1882 he entered the wholesale produce business here and up to a short time ago was actively at the
head of his business at 1109 North Peters street.

Married in 1879
He was married October 2, 1879, to Miss Rosine Baracco, who with four sons, Peter, Anthony, Lawrence and Jacob Manguno, and one daughter, Mrs. Josephine Basillio, survive.
Three of the sons were associated with him in business, and the fourth, Lawrence Manguno, is assistant
cashier in the United States revenue bureau here.
The funeral will be held from the Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, Inc., funeral home, 4127 South Claiborne avenue, at 2:30 p. m. today, with services at 3 p. m. in the St. Charles Avenue Baptist church, at which Dr.
Brown will preside. Interment will be in Metairie cemetery. [Found in Greenwood Cemetery]
Deacons of the church will act as pallbearers.
