Elizabeth Alice Hunter
It has been many months since a death in Lawrenceburg has caused as much sorrow and sadness to the
many as did that of Miss Elizabeth Alice Hunter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hunter, who passed away at the home of her parents early Saturday morning. Elizabeth was born in Lawrenceburg March 30,
1906. She had graduated from the grades in the common schools and entered high school with the class
of 1924, completed the first year, and entered upon the second year, when failing health caused her to give up school, hoping that after a few months rest and care she might be able to resume her studies, but this was not to be, as her health did not improve, but gradually grew worse, until relieved by death. Her many months of suffering were borne with great patience and fortitude..
She was a faithful member of Hamline chapel M..E. church and its Sunday school, being greatly loved
by her many young companions.
Funeral services were. held at the home of her parents on High Street Tuesday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. C. D. Wilson, after which her body was laid to rest in beautiful Greendale cemetery.
The many beautiful floral offerings sent to the home testified to the true worth of the young lady and to the
high esteem in which the was held.
She is survived by her father and mother, one only sister, Nell Harriet, also her grandmother, Mrs. George
Schmeltzer, of Greendale.
Mr. and Mrs. Hunter have the sincere sympathy of their friends in this their sad hour of bereavement.
