Services for Clarence Hunter, 67, assistant cashier of the Peoples National Bank and prominent civic leader, who die Saturday morning in Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati, were conducted in Fitch Bros, Funeral
Home Thursday at 2 p. m. Rev Charles T. Alexander, pastor of the Hamline Chapel Methodist church. officiated and burial was in Greendale cemetery. Masonic ritualistic rites were read at the
grave.
Born Sept. 25, 1879, at Elizabethtown, 0., a son of Walker and Alice Guard Hunter, Mr. Hunter had passed almost all his life in Lawrenceburg. He was educated in the city's public schools and a Cincinnati Business college and was employed by the Big Four railroad for a short time. He had been associated with the Peoples National Bank for 42 years.
Mr. Hunter married Miss Mary ISchmeltzer Jan. 12, 1905, in Lawrenceburg, and they had two daughters, Elizabeth Alice, who died in girlhood, and Mrs. Nelle Hunter Smith of Fairbanks, Alaska, who with the widow survrves.
Mr. Hunter was a faithful member of Hamline Chapel Methodist Church and the Men's lBible Class of the Sunday school. He was a past master of Lawrenceburg Lodge, No. 4, F. & jA. M., and a member of Lawrenceburg Chapter, No. 56, R. A. M., and Lawrenceburg Council No. 195, R. S. M. For many years he was a building trustee for the Masonic Lodge and also was treasurer of the Dearborn County Building & Loan Association.
His daughter, Mrs. Smith, arrived in Lawrenceburg Wednesday after an airplane trip from Fairbanks.
A granddaughter, Marjorie Smith, also survives.
