SAMUEL LITTRELL, AGED VETERAN, PASSES AWAY
Samuel Littrell, 89 years old, second oldest member of the Charles S. Hayes Post, Grand Army of the Republic, died Tuesday night, at his home in Cleves. Yesterday was the anniversary of Mr. Littrell's birth.
A life long resident of the Miami valley near Cleves, Mr. Littrell served in Company G, Thirteenth Cavalry, Indiana Volunteers, during the Civil War. His death leaves only four members of the Hayes Post G. A. R. [Correction-Company C]
Funeral services are to be conducted at his home on Miami avenue in Cleves Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.
Mr. Littrell is survived by six children; Edward and George Littrell, Miami Beach, Fla; Oth Littrell, Suffolk, Va.; Mrs. Alice Wise, Elizabethtown, Ohio and Eugene and Alvin Littrell, Cleves.
