LILLY, CURTIS HAISE
A retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant, having served in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War, he died Saturday, Oct. 9, 1999, at his residence in Hammond. He was 82 and a native of Kentwood. Visiting at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home chapel, Hammond, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Religious services at the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Interment in Ponchatoula Cemetery, Ponchatoula. Survived by his wife, Beatrice Giffin Jenkins Lilly, Hammond; two sons, James Victor Lilly, New Orleans, and Richard Pyle Lilly, Billings, Mont.; two sisters, Doris Hutchinson, New Sarpy, and Velma Hendry, Roseland; and a grandson. Preceded in death by a sister, Mable Lilly Ryan. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Hammond. He received a bachelor of arts degree from Southeastern Louisiana University.

Afternoon Rites Unite C. H. Lillys
HAMMOND -- In a 3 o'clock afternoon ceremony Saturday at the First Baptist Church Mrs. Beatrice C. Jenkins became the bride of Mr. Curtis Haise Lilly. The Rev. J. M. Oswalt served as officiant, while organist was Mrs. Raymond Cox and soloist was Mrs. Evelyn Starks.
Upon their return from Gatlinburg, the couple will reside in Hammond.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her son, Mr. Aubry C. Jenkins of Metairie. Matron of honor was Mrs. H. J. Stonecypher of Covington, daughter of the bride, and Mrs. Flora Davis of Pumpkin Center, bridesmaid.
Mr. James V. Lilly, son of the bridegroom, was best man, and groomsman was Mr. Warren Kinchen. Messrs. Steve Soutullo and Charles D. Stewart were ushers. Candlelighters were Craig Stonecypher of Covington, and Roy Jenkins of Metairie.
The Red Room of the Holiday Inn was the setting for the reception following the ceremony. Assisting in serving were Mmes. Charley R. Smith of Livingston, Aubrey C. Jenkins of Metairie, Kathryn V. Raborn of Hammond and Roy Jenkins of Ponchatoula.
